Lorna Olson

LORNA MARIE OLSON has written professionally since 1990, and has been a professional member of PWAC (Professional Writers Association of Canada) since 1992.    Main areas of expertise are business writing (in particular construction – from large projects to particular trades such as concrete, plumbing, carpentry), travel and tourism, pet welfare, food and drink, profiles and biographies.  As well, she has done book reviewing and restaurant reports.  She has also guested on radio and television (CBC Radio, Dougall Media radio and television, and Shaw Cable television).  Magazine credits include Trade & Commerce, Bear Country, Construction Northwest.    “My motto:  get the assignment done within the word count and on time”, she says.    She is a lifelong learner and takes advantage of PWAC conferences as well as local workshops and seminars.  As well, she is active as a volunteer including playing piano and singing with a local music group, and working as an animal advocate.  “Every experience can lead to a story!”
